COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL
AIR CONDITIONING PRODUCT OF THE YEAR

For the manufacturer (or agent) developing the coolest new air conditioning products (or innovating existing technologies). Products/components must have been launched in the UK between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021.

DOMESTIC PRODUCT OF THE YEAR

This award is open the most innovative new products available for domestic properties. These could include both heating and ventilation products released onto the market between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021.

NEW! COVID-19 INNOVATION AWARD

As virus control becomes critical in commercial buildings, this new category seeks entries from HVAC businesses who have taken the fight against COVID-19 to new heights through the introduction of a product, service or initiative aimed at creating safe, virus free spaces for workers, students or public servants.

NEW! HEAT PUMP PRODUCT OF THE YEAR

With heat pumps set to play a significant role in the decarbonisation drive, manufacturers (or their representative agents entering on their behalf) are invited to enter any heat pump product whose primary function includes heating and is launched onto the UK market between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021.

ANCILLARY OF THE YEAR

This award is open to manufacturers (or agents) of ancillary HVAC products launched onto the UK market between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021.

Statements/documents can be provided to support the entry. The following points can be used as a guide:

– The level of research and development devoted to the new product.
– Key technological features.
– Target market and how this product differs from its competitors.
– Any environmental issues that the product addresses.
– Energy efficiency advantages.
– Price-wise, how the product compares with competitive units.
– Lifetime running costs, payback period etc.
– Any features that simplify installation and maintenance.
– Testimonials.

COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR

This award recognises examples of collaborative work that has delivered outstanding results on an HVAC project. The award is open to any HVAC manufacturers working in collaboration with HVAC contractors or consulting engineers.

HVAC INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR

This category is open to any HVAC business that has delivered an innovative project, development or service that is not eligible for any other category. This award is devoted to the most pioneering ideas – designed for the sole benefit of the customer – launched between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021.

Statements/documents can be provided to support the entry. The following points can be used as a guide:

– Details of the project.
– How the project demonstrates innovation in the field.
– Details of any new technology or other unique attributes of the project.
– Potential cost savings over conventional technology
– Health and safety aspects affecting the technology (if any).
– Environmental or sustainable benefits.
– Customer satisfaction.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award will recognise one individual that has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the HVAC industry over the course of their career.

The winner will clearly exude passion for the sector, dedicating many hours in the best interest of their company and the industry as a whole.

VOTED CATEGORIES

CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARD

This award will be presented to an individual or a team for outstanding customer service. It rewards frontline service in the heating and ventilation field.

TRAINING INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR

This award is open to any HVAC company for the design and implementation of any initiative that displays a commitment to training between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021.

Statements/documents can be provided to support the entry. The following points can be used as a guide:

– The research behind the initiative and the methods of implementation.
– Who it is aimed at and who it will benefit.
– The effectiveness of the initiative.
– Any statistical evidence that supports the success of the initiative.

NEW! TRAINEE OF THE YEAR

This award is open to entries from any individual in the HVAC sector who was an apprentice or trainee between 1 January 2020 and 30 June 2021, who has demonstrated the potential to achieve great things within the industry.

WHOLESALER/DISTRIBUTOR OF THE YEAR

This award is open to all heating and ventilating wholesalers or distributors operating within the UK.

For the purposes of this Award, a wholesaler is defined as a company offering a wide range of products in the form of a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the heating and ventilating engineer. A distributor will be an independent company looking after the sales and distribution of one or more companies’ products.
