We have over 84,000 products to bring our customers what they need for every project. Working with top suppliers including Geberit, Wilo, Grundfos, Baxi and Polypipe to name a few, we’ve built strong partnerships to ensure quality, efficacy and reliability within our product line-up.

We also provide our own BOSS™ brand products. Renowned for quality and value, the first product was launched over a century ago. Today, we continue to invest in BOSS™ innovation to bring customers the guaranteed quality they deserve.

The best distribution centre and a national network

From our national distribution centres to branch coverage, BSS is always ready to bring customers what they need, when they need it. We’ve got over 60 locations across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. So wherever our customers’ jobs take them, we’re there too.

Our National Distribution Centre based in the heart of the Midlands operates 24 hours a day and delivers to our branches every weekday using our own primary fleet. As a customer, this means that any customer can place an order at a branch by 5pm and collect their goods the following morning. We also have a Tube Distribution Centre stocking hundreds of tube products. Importantly, the centre has the capacity and expertise to handle and deliver steel tube.

The right tools for the job with Hire-It

Every BSS branch has access to a wide range of tools and equipment available for our customers to hire. So if a customer is buying tube, they can hire a press gun to fit it. We also offer a next day service on more specialist items giving peace of mind that customers will get the tools they need. As part of the Travis Perkins Group, we’re able to source anything from a mini digger to a cement mixer.

From technical support teams to our experienced branch staff – we’re on hand with the right advice and support for customers. Many of our people have been with us a long time and it’s their experience and commitment that sets BSS service apart. Customers notice it as soon as they walk into one of our branches, talk to our colleagues on the phone or take delivery of their products.

Specialists in our field

Pipeline and heating solutions can be complex and many of our customers’ jobs and projects are challenging. We have a wealth of technical and engineering expertise to support our customers and branches. Our dedicated Technical Services Teams specialise in areas including valves, plastics, pumps and pumping equipment, controls, carbon and stainless steel. Their professional expertise enables customers to choose the right solution for their project potentially saving both time and money. Other key services include on-site technical support, aftersales and commissioning, and product training.

Our established BOSS™ Technical Team gives expert advice on our specialist BOSS™ products and systems. The technical support given could range from solutions for heating and cooling systems though to selecting building services and industrial products, or providing CAD drawings for BOSS™ system solutions.

We also have an Export Sales Team. With the capacity to export over 60,000 products worldwide, the team specialises in global delivery managing key factors such as legal documentation, exchange rates, freight costs and hazardous products.

Our Stay Safe processes are rigorous and continually updated. All of our branches are regularly audited and our staff are trained to continue to make working life safer for our people, customers and suppliers.

Safety is built into the culture of BSS, we talk about it every day in our branches, our support centres & our meetings because it’s imperative we keep people safe. We’re constantly looking at new ways to improve our safety culture, from manual handling changes to safety features on delivery vehicles. We also pride ourselves on understanding the root causes, it’s not only what we do, but why do we do it.

These associations, regulations and directives are British (BVAA and BMTFA) and European (REACH). We also have a number of certifications which show our commitment to protecting the environment, safety, efficiency and quality.
