Voting for the 2018 HVR Awards is complete and organiser Datateam Business Media has now unveiled the finalists, representing the very best from across the heating and ventilating industry.
While an industry vote has decided on the top contestants for the voted for categories, an independent panel of judges has been deliberating over the entries for the judged categories.
The panel features industry experts whose knowledge spans across the HVAC sector, and includes Ross Anderson of ICOM, Martyn Cooper of FETA, Rebecca Hogg of BSRIA, Duncan Sibbald of BESA, consultant Laura Bishop, and HVACR consultant and former winner, Stephen Gill.
Hotly contested
With such a strong line-up of exceptional companies, brands, products, and people in the running for a coveted ‘flame’ trophy, this year’s competition is set to be more hotly contested than ever before in its nine-year history.
There are also no less than four new categories at this year’s annual HVR Awards; HVAC Initiative of the Year, Ancillary Product of the Year, Training Initiative of the Year and the Community Spirit Award have all been introduced in recognition of the increasingly diverse nature of this industry.
What’s next?
With the finalists revealed, the countdown is underway to discover which contestants will come out on top and receive the ultimate industry accolade for their innovation, excellence and outstanding service.
From within each category, the entry with the highest number of votes or highest score from the judging panel will be announced as the winner at the illustrious HVR Awards ceremony, taking place on Thursday October 25 at London’s five-star Chelsea Harbour Hotel.
An unmissable evening
There’s still time to book your ticket for this unmissable event on the HVAC industry calendar, which will provide an invaluable networking opportunity as well as an evening of entertainment, celebration and socialising with the industry’s elite.
Presiding over the awards presentations and proceedings will be host for the evening and award-winning comedian, Tom Ward, who has toured with both Hal Cruttenden and Gary Delaney, and appeared on Live at the Comedy store and Live at the BBC. His voice is also a regular feature on many TV adverts, including those for Unicef, Channel 5 and Marvel.
Renowned for combining his laid-back, self-deprecating style with a deadpan delivery, Mr Ward’s diverse repertoire sees him venting his frustrations with life’s everyday inconveniences, finding humour in his unconventional upbringing with evangelical parents, and applying his voice-over skills to deliver an array of amusing impressions.
Secure your place
In addition to the much-awaited awards presentations themselves, guests will attend an exclusive drinks reception and a delicious three course meal with wine included, before enjoying the after-dinner entertainment and continuing the celebrations well into the evening.
It’s the perfect opportunity to not only catch up with friends and colleagues and congratulate one another on the successes of the past 12 months, but also to engage with existing and potential clients.
With less than two months to go until the 2018 HVR Awards are underway, availability of tickets is limited. Take your place among Britain’s best from the HVAC industry and secure your spot using the secure online form available on the HVR Awards website.
